Merry Christmas everyone. I’m enjoying my first all grain brew ever! (Was extract for 5 years). It’s a German Hefeweizen and it turned out fairly decent!

First one of the day! Let’s just say last night was crazy. My wife’s labor broke about an hour and a half after we fell asleep. Cops and EMTS in our house at 1230. They rush her to the hospital. I wait for our sitter to get here and then I rush there too. The rush me up into a delivery room and at 2:03am our first boy pops out. ThenView attachment 711715 15 minutes later the second boy pops out! Mom and the boys are doing great! I was back home opening presents at 6am with our daughter. It’s been a long day and this beer taste really really really good ! Merry Christmas everyone !!!!

Dude...congrats!! That’s awesome! I have twins in the fam, both sides, but the same generation as me and they are special. Enjoy the craziness and sleep some, if you can!

Windy Christmas Eve. Didn’t lose power formore than a few minutes. But had no cable or internet all Christmas Day. Didn’t stop me from working on the 12 BoC
@j1laskey Gruit and @jack13 juniper rye bock. Two more really enjoyable beers that I never would have made myself. J1, congrats on the little ones.

Winter Solstice Chipotle Porter Recipe Kit https://www.homebrewing.org/Winter-Solstice-Chipotle-Porter-Recipe-Kit_p_4388.htmlIt is a nice robust porter, I can't taste the chocolate at all. The chipotle is subtle and is mostly a warmth in the finish. It is a little more bitter on the finish than I like for this style but it is very good. When I get my setup complete it will be one of my staples. Waiting on my Digiboil then I need to buy bulk DME and specialty grains.

$22 for a pint???? Man you can brew up a few gallons of the stuff for that price!!! I know you got the skill !!
Absolutely. It’s def high but they are dryhoping at about 4-5lbs per barrel for doubles at 8.5%, so it’s not crazy crazy.

You should see the cost of the imperial stouts up this way. $20 for a 500 ml lol
