These two tonight.
The cornhole board was painted by our youngest (7). It’s a waterfall with a sunset and cliffs. There’s a couple with their dog looking at it all. Yes the dog is thinking “What”. Haha
It was amazing to give her the paint, walk away and come back to this wonderful artwork!

One of these earlier at a friend’s house. Quite possibly the most tasteless fermented beverage, masquerading as a craft beer, that I’ve ever tried.

Some Irish for a nightcap.

Our group of pheasant hunters brought a mixed case of Kirkland beer several years ago and it was some of the worst beer I’ve ever had.

HB Robust Porter with Makers Mark whiskey, American oak chips and vanilla beans from @FoxPaw.

The oak and vanilla are balanced nicely, it’s a little boozy. Guess we will see how boozy in a few minutes

Overall a great Porter!

Beats the hell out of whatever I would've done. Make sure to date it.

It's known locally that I brew beer, so some unknown person left a case of empty Kirkland Craft beer bottles in my driveway, still trying to figure out who. So, I got a case of bottles without having to choke down bad beer!

I was thinking the same thing! Haha not about you but of myself. She loves to draw, paint and do all things crafty and truly has some good talent for only being 7! Thank you for the kind words!

I'd have just spray painted something inappropriate and say, "Aim for the ... hole." and call it. As you can imagine, my art career never took off.

OT: Tea blend (rooibos with a pinch of matcha powder - traces of caffeine are okay).

Lunch beer. Not sure about this one. It was part of a Kettlehouse sample box I picked up a few days ago (8 pints for $11 and change; not bad, considering 2 of them are Cold Smoke, one of my favorite commercial brews).

Anyway, the brewery describes this as a “Juicy Montana Pale Ale, bursting with notes of white grape, freshly cut pineapple, and zesty tangelo”. 4.8 ABV, 30 IBU, hopped with Waimea, Wakatu, and Nelson Sauvin.

There’s nothing “juicy” about it, and no hint of fruit. I get notes of discarded band-aid with a hint of old gym bag. It was canned on 9 July, so probably a bit past its prime. Oh well. The other 6 in the box (2 each Hefe, IPA and Scotch Ale) have been up to Kettlehouse’s usual standards. A fresh one of these could be pretty good.

That is super cute! You're a good dad!

The on again off again thunderstorms put a damper on the painting plans, darn....

Mortalis Brewing Company’s version.
The maple really shines without being super sweet. Nicely done!

Untappd’s Description:
This Imperial Stout is the beer we brewed in support of the Black is Beautiful collaborative effort created by Weathered Souls Brewing to help raise awareness of the injustices people of color face daily and raise funds to support local organizations that support police brutality reform and legal defenses for those who have been wronged. We have conditioned the base stout on vanilla, maple, walnuts, and cacao nibs.
