Dinner

Probably my favorite beer
The last 5 years old ive forced myself to take a vacation this part of the year. It's always been exploring Maine. That beer coincided with heading north. Always heading thru Portland going or coming back. This year Im thinking of the cape to keep it close but I miss that beer a lot.

Love visiting Maine in the summer. Used to go well before some of these newer beers. Old school Geary’s and Gritty McDuff’s in Portland. Then Gritty’s in Freeport - my girls loved playing in their “yard”.

Geary’s HSA is one of the most special beers in our life’s. If you see it. Grab it. Drink it. It’s the last of real Maine beer !
Yes! That's the other one. I think it transformed into a winter cloud God thingy logo (HSA) after the Hampshire Special Ale. At one time there were two variants

A couple of beer while out on the boat with friends, followed by one around the fire. Now I need to crash and get up early to take the kids camping at the family property tomorrow. They want to leave around 7:30am so I guess I’ll be up around 6-6:30am to finish packing and loading up.

Geary’s Pale Ale was my introduction to craft beers in ‘94 when I could get it in MD. Same time I started home brewing. Then being able to go to ME to get it from the source was a real treat.

One of my locals finally opened up a patio, so had to stop by to have a pint. Grabbed some tasty noodles to go to enjoy once there as well! New England Pale Ale for me, and a black currant, mango sour cherry sour for my wife. Followed up with a boysenberry seltzer And hazy blond ale that were also tasty.
