Yeah, by 9PM (6 hours after pitch) it was blowing out the blowoff tube. That stuff is a beast
Did you really order $59+ worth of yeast, or add the yeast to an order to get to $59? At any rate I'm interested in hearing how this turns out.Just went on morebeer's site and ordered just enough of the dried version to get free shipping.
Yep, just yeast. With summertime temps here, it just makes sense to use kveik. Experimenting with different hop combos to get the taste I like. This one used Nugget, Citra, Amarillo, and Saaz, for about 39 IBU.Did you really order $59+ worth of yeast, or add the yeast to an order to get to $59? Look up the thread on here how to top crop your krausen and dry it in your oven for kviek. You’ll never need to buy it again. All you have to do is pitch a gram of it dried. If I can find the thread I’ll send it to youYeah, by 9PM (6 hours after pitch) it was blowing out the blowoff tube.

Looks fantastic! Really wish I could get on the sabro bandwagon, but I HATE coconut in general lol.Great collab between Mast Landing and Aslin featuring Sabro, Citra, and Rakau. Sabro dominates but the other two play a nice supporting roll. Clearly the Beer name holds true lolView attachment 684518
Have you used it. It’s not like pure coconut but that’s a close descriptorLooks fantastic! Really wish I could get on the sabro bandwagon, but I HATE coconut in general lol.
I’ve had two beers with sabro: the commercial one it was one hop among 4 I think. I also had one from local small brewery and it was the feature hop. Both of them I got strong ass coconut. Honestly I think I’m hypersensitive to it too. The commercial one my wife didn’t even like but the local brewery one she loved. I appreciated the local brewery one as it was a well done beer but just didn’t like the coconut flavor. So I haven’t tried to use it in homebrewsHave you used it. Certainly valid. I personally hate el dorado and sarachi ace so I get itI’ve had two beers with sabro: the commercial one it was one hop among 4 I think.
