Does this apply to Voss? On the farmhouse yeast registry they say Voss should be harvested from the bottom. Can you do the spread and dry with a bottom crop or should it stay liquid since there will be non yeast in there as well? Sorry for the bit of derail but your statement got me thinking as I will be brewing with the lalbrew kveik soon and wouldn’t mind stretching it.Look up the thread on here how to top crop your krausen and dry it in your oven for kviek. You’ll never need to buy it again. All you have to do is pitch a gram of it dried. If I can find the thread I’ll send it to you

Preservation of Voss (Sigmund) is ”a jar in the fridge” according to the Farmhouse yeast registry.Does this apply to Voss? Will you have to wash it? I don't know much about saving and reusing yeast. I suppose it's something I should look into.I'll be dumping a bunch of voss out of the fermenter tonight(from the bottom). It will go in a jar and sit in the fridge for several future batches. Once the jar gets low ill collect more.
No, I almost never wash yeast any more. May decant once if theres a ton of liquid, but thats it.Will you have to wash it? I don't know much about saving and reusing yeast. I suppose it's something I should look into.
Wasn't sure where to put this post so I'll leave it here.
I took my car into the shop today to get a front end alignment. While there I started chatting with the owner, who has a ton of odd and end collectible items. No rhyme or reason to any of it. He has a 1912 Dayton scale that I commented on due to that company's past association with The Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company (which became IBM). In the conversation I mentioned I brew beer. He took me into his office (also filled with memorabilia), and pulled out this unopened can and gave it to me. What do you think a 29 year old Coors tastes like?

Going with some NA this weekend.
Had the dry-hopped version but first time for this. Not bad, not great, but not bad. It’s hot outside and this is cold.

I was thinking of trying to non dry hopped version...might have to do that : ) The dry hop isn't bad...as you noted, not good, not bad, beer, fine.
