SNPA used to be one of my favorite commercial staple beers. Now it's just so...lackluster. Body is thinner and flavor is insipidly sweet and one dimensional compared to the way it was 5 or 6 years ago. Anyone else notice that? What happened to this faded glory?

Thanks. This beer was brewed April 12, kegged over the weekend and now I’m pulling samples. For a light lager, it’s really good for as young as it is.

Eastern Nebraska in late June & July is miserable. My great grandfather moved here (northeast Colorado) in the early 1920s from Humphrey, NE. I asked him why he chose Colorado and he gave me 2 main reasons... there was still land available at a reasonable price and the nights were cool in the summer.

Nope... 3 week primary at 54° with Diamond lager yeast, cold crash then gelatin fining at kegging. OG 1.048 FG 1.008

H#ll no. Went to high school in Kali. Lived in Lincoln from the age of 3 to 10. I was an Air Force rugrat and moved around a lot. I think I lived in Lincoln longer than anywhere else, until the base closed.

hb mild aged w a chip of boubon soaked oak in a 500ml bottle. Bottled oct2018 a bit sour, thoroughly over carbed. Followed by a "cask" mild from a polypin in my basement.

Trying one of my HB Munich Dunkel... it's a heck of a lot lighter than I thought, but it's got some kick! Wooo!

Must have been the additional Light DME that lightened the whole thing up. I think I saw posted on these forums somewhere that it always looks darker in the carboy! Not exactly the flavour I was going for, but it is still young. Might have to try darker LME for my additional sugars next run. Very happy, however, and I will definitely brew this again!

Drinking a nice English Dark Mild that I brewed and put on Nitro. It is a very flavorful, light session beer that has a great chocolate finish. Nice welcome change of pace as it is only 3% ABV and is a thirst quenching quaffer!

You could say that. @Dave Sarber I have had much better, not only is it cloudy AF, it also has tartness that shouldn’t be. The beer they serve at the brewery is usually good, some are outstanding.
