Fallen Timber is one of my local Alberta favourites, a very well-established meadery. Had to break out my Brook trout camping cup, just because.

Thanks. The look is always spot on but the taste is quite elusive. This version is close but still missing something. Tastes good regardless. Maybe a little age will help.

I was researching some ideas for new beer styles to brew and a few hits were pictured in the what are you drinking now forum. While browsing those old photos I ran across some posts from @Remmy . Haven’t seen him since December/ Januaryish... and that post was only visible for a few hours before it was deleted... hope all is well

Very happy to support local brewers. I'm taking their Double Dare Imperial IPA and enjoying the hoppy, bright flavour! Calgary hosted the 1988 Winter Olympics, and this beer was created to say Cheers to Calgary!! Woohoo!!

Maybe I'll have a beer tomorrow? Like, a real beer. 30 days seems like enough? I dunno, too soon? For now, water...always water.
ps: I think I've found one of the root causes of my stomach issues - lactose. I've had spicy foods twice since I've been off lactose for 15 days, and my guts are much better. There is still some tenderness, but it is significantly better than before. I'm curious what a beer is going to do, or more specifically, alcohol.

First beer in 30 days, make it a HB. Unfortunately my keg became uncarbonated in the last month (a leak?)...so @jaymosbeershack Cascadian Dark Ale it is
