How is it? It’s peaked my curiosity but haven’t tried it yet.

Perfect for when the temperatures reach into the 80s. A FW/Ommegang collaboration. A wild ale brewed with blackberries and Zinfandel grapes. Only 200 cases produced back in summer '18. I bought a few bottles and this is my last one.

I pulled out the only beer from my “cellar” and want help picking something for my birthday next Friday. I told the wife I was going to sell them but she talked some sense into me.

So? What am I going to crack? The Rare is 2015.

I tried the Scotch Parabola on tap when it was first released. Way too much of an over-powering scotch flavor. I still bought a few bottles to put away to sit on for a few years. It's probably still too young, but if you do try it let me know how it's aging.

What year do you have?

I'm pretty sure it was only a one time release. I want to say last year. I'll see if I can dig it out.

*Edit - I see that it was released in December 2017. My untappd entry was dated Dec. 10th, 2017. That's when I bought mine.

this is what I’m thinking. I’ve had the 2015 parabola and it was great, but been craving the rare since I got it from an earlier FotD. I need to look back to see who sent it. He is a FotD hero. Came with the matching glass too.

A delicious, fruity IPA from a local brewery (Tank Puncher IPA/Reunion Brewery Coralville, IA). Definitely try one if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one.
