This could just be the event that gets rid of the state stores in PA and allows sales in grocery stores like most of the rest of the US.

When I first moved to Penn State, I walked all over a grocery store looking for beer. Finally asked some one and they looked at me weird and told me there was a special store for alcohol. Then I found a store that sold liquor and wine and walked all over looking for beer. Asked some one and they looked at me weird and said you need a “bottle shop”. Finally find a bottle shop and found out that if I wanted a case of beer I had to go to a distributor. Weird, weird laws there.

Edit: I see you said above they sell in grocery stores now. It’s changed since the dark ages of 2000. :)

You and I were probably haunting the same bottle shops (Brewskies?). I was at main campus 2000-2004.

Closing Beer and Liquor stores tonight in PA for 2 weeks. Was in line for almost a half hour to check out. Was like Black Friday! Guess I will be brewing this weekend.

I’m debating if I should pull out a sanke tap I have and give it a good clean (hasn’t been used in a while) and connect it in my kegerator later tonight. Hopefully I have extra tubing that will work.
Then tomorrow swing by Other Half and see if I can get a keg of beer just in case we go in lockdown mode like SF did last night. There’s talks of it happening here in NY and not just the NYC area.

As of 5 minutes ago, they are still allowing places around NYC to sell food and drink to go. But why wouldn't you get a keg of Other Half?

I reached out to see if I could get a 1/6 keg of beer. I don’t want to assume anything before heading out. Trying to be responsible and not head out unless needed.
