My first ever competition is in the books. Entered a Witbier and a chocolate/hazelnut/vanilla porter. The wit recieved a 35 and the Porter recieved a 32. Not bad for my first ever competition. Looking forward to tweaking the recipes and entering more! Enjoying my red ale to celebrate. Sorry. old picture. It has oxidized a bit since this photo was taken but is still drinking good.

An ounce of saaz at flamout and 15m. The rest at the start (FWH) to make it up to 33IBU. 95% MO, 5% biscuit, 2% acid malt. RO water with 50ppm calcium chloride. MJ84 yeast. 4.75% ABV

Yeah that’s nice but they only sell the Alchemist by the can there and it’s not cheap. You can’t get it in their beer department (which keeps getting better) so no to go cans and 4-packs. Maybe some day.
