Smuttynose Vunderbar Pilsner
Saw smuttynose and figurrd you might be from my neck of the woods. So I stalked you and saw you are from Bedford. I'm from Roanoke but currently in Iowa. Have you been to apocalypse? Or Bigllick in Roanoke? Good stuff....

No breweries per se, but was able to pick up many very local and very fresh examples of beer. Really want to make it by Tree House next time I'm in Boston. Schedule was just a little too tight to make the stop. We did make it to Trillium's beer garden in downtown Boston. The peanut butter PM Dawn imperial stout was great!

Did bring back stuff from Trillium, Lawson's, Hermit Thrush, etc. Can't wait to try it all!

Well done on Thrush

I'm really into the quick turnaround beers these days....wits, neipa, etc.. what yeast did you use?

This is inspired by Focal Banger. Got a SSbrewbucket so was just playing around. Did not cold crash so a lot made it to the bottles but so far I’m impressed with the early returns.
This is a bells yeast I cultivated and is many iterations later. Always finishes dry...like 1.005

Pulled one from the cellar, wish they still made this

How do you like the SS bucket?

I found a two gallon bottling bucket I need to send to you.

@TwistedGray hb sour ipa

The sour smells great and there is a tiny bit of funk on the sip but it is incredibly clean. Hops are pretty faint. Do I smell some Jolly Pumpkin dregs in there?

The cider last night was good. Clean, dry and refreshing!

Training Wheels Berliner thread + session IPA blended at bottling. No dregs :)

I'm drinking a Westvleteren XII clone (extract) and it's pretty darn good. Would really enjoy the chance to taste the original.

Warsteiner Oktoberfest; just bought a case of it today at Costco. They didn't have Hofbrauhaus O'fest, just Warsteiner, Paulaner, and some American brands. Paulaner said it's a Marzen and the Warsteiner didn't, so I picked the Warsteiner. It's light-colored and tastes about like I remember the Hofbrau last year. Prost!

Wet hop beers are my jam... i'll be in Washington, Oregon, California in mid to late October and I'm hoping I don't miss out....i'm hoping to get some stuff I could never get on the East Coast while I'm there
lawdawg let me know were you are going to be in Washington and maybe I can show you the Beermuda triangle of Poulsbo if we can pull it off. That would be; Slippery Pig, Valholl, Sound, Rainy Days, and Western Red Brewery. If you might be interested.

Bent Paddle Brewing Blueberry Blonde. Super tasty, enough hops to balance the malt. They use just enough fresh blueberry to do some of the bittering and not taste like you are drinking a glass of juice. Bought the growler fill at their taproom in Duluth and is so nice and fresh tasting.

Sounds good! We will be in Everett in mid Octoberfor about a week or so. Do any of them do wet hop stuff ?

Back to Malone's with a new beer list, uh oh! No more lemon drop sours :(

Efffff it, might as well hit up their only sour on tap, and I've had this one a few days ago. Raspberry Sour which is on par with any berry sour I've had including my biased homebrew. And I made my French lady friend wait on me while o drank the last two. Smacked as "he" would say!!
