I just tapped this year's Christmas beer. It's based on Adventures In Homebrewing's Nor'easter Cranberryfest recipe, but with 1oz of Simcoe added at flameout and instead of Cranberry flavoring, I racked it into a carboy with 2 lbs of chopped cranberry for a 1 week secondary.

I always pass on cranberry.... but that sounds and looks delicious!

It came out pretty good. The cranberry is't overpowering. I did a Punkin' ale for Thanksgiving that was mashed with oven roasted pumpkin puree and had the traditional pumpkin pie spice added when kegged. I really didn't want a spiced Christmas beer while I still had the Punkin' on tap. This has a relatively subtle cranberry note in an otherwise balanced pale ale. I'm happy with it.

I got a team of flooring guys in the house today installing hardwood, banging the hell out of the everything, non-stop. I'm ready to hit the wild turkey!

Picked up some of that! Some Master of Karate, Master of Oranges, and Chrip.
I've had all of those and they are all good. Well the Master of Karate I had was the double dry hop version. I have some How Now at home that is the maple version I may need to try tonight. Enjoy!

Work Christmas party tomorrow and then 10 days off. After a couple days in the 40s, snow is back.
