I opt for reposados and añejos and typically sip them like I do with single-malt scotches. Served neat. But this is a budget tequila perfect for margaritas.

I need a dipa to wash this down and bring my buzz down to Earth.
 
The Perfect Crime Hollow Point bottled 7/10/13. It's supposed to be a Westy XII clone.

I tried last year and still terrible.
Didn't hold out a lot of hope for year 3.
Sometimes it's nice to be wrong.

I have only had Westy XII once - like five years ago so take this with a grain of salt - BUT from what I can remember this is actually a decent take. The finish has a touch too much cherry - almost a medicinal cherry like after a cherry cough drop - but otherwise this is a tasty take on a quad. Now I kind of wish I hadn't given two bottles away because I'd love to see how it develops in year four.

Just got back from the Vans Warped Tour in Cleveland (reliving my childhood haha...) Had a shot of evan williams bouron, a Brew Kettle Four C's, and now drinking some of Smagics Summer ale from tap #2 while enjoying some pizza.

Hope your vacation is a great one!!! One of these days, I'd like to vacation in your state. Just missed it on my last trip around...
