Dood! I didn't you were able to get a Raleighwood! I was able to round up two for me and one for you...if you still want it. I haven't tried it yet...good?

No no! I want it, we got a case in at the shop last week so I will age yours and drink mine. :)

Tummy is not happy with my beer consumption last night. Water...taking it easy.

I used belle saison. Think I got really low efficiency and may have pitched a little on the warm side.. severely out of practice. Just a saison, because I'm bummed out at my mistakes. Very rusty.

If you want to plan on an xmas time trade I should be able to do that unless the saison sucks. Right now I have a pale ale that didn't carb that I use to cook with and an IPA that was murdered with nugget... most people don't take kindly to it. Saison going, stout this week and if my hard cider is still comfortable that will be bottled in the next week or two after it aged a year and half.

Over-sweetened coffee that needs to be cut with the bitter work coffee. Happy for the short week.

edit: @supervisingchildren if you'd like, we can trade some of our own and just send a joint box down to @hello
Sounds good. I do only have 3 different ones right now which I may just ship up to you beforehand. I need to keg the vanilla porter today.

Coffee. Insomnia and not being able to breath kicked my arse last night. I think I slept maybe 45 mins. My house is slowly trying to put me in a early grave came home this morning wanting nothing but to wash down a Benadryl with a quick pull from my ESB and lay down but now the bathroom faucet won't shut off

To, dr mindless rambling

Sucks. Turn it off at the valve under it and leave it for tomorrow next time. They can live without cold water. And washing with cold water if it is the hot (it is always the hot) builds character.

Coffee. moving into the new digs at work, I have a 17,000 stainless light fixture above my desk.
Bright as ****, hangovers are going to be real rough here

17,000 Poulsen fixture. Wonder when I'll get a raise

'Borrow' a ladder and either loosen or remove some of the bulbs until it gets to a more manageable level. Or flip the switch.

All else fails, low powered BB gun, shoot the bulbs, stand back.

Closest thing to a BB gun I own is nickel plated and Israeli made. It takes some pretty big rounds and I'm fairly certain a single shot would obliterate not only the fixture, but the ceiling and part of whatever is directly above that ceiling as well.
God I love that gun. Getting a chub just thinking about it.
All the lights are going on a daylight sensor. We have windows on about 60% of the location, so during the day time it shouldn't be too bad...but that will be after they get the system hooked up. Should be this weekend I think.

Okay then, If they are still building the system approach the worker and point out your issue. Construction guys are all too familiar with the next day karmatic effects to which you refer. They can sympathize and do some light tests to make sure they do not cook your brain any more than the helmet you wore in the service did.

Quite possible I overdid it on the coffee today. Can't sit still. Completed every drawing I could've possibly needed to do.
Switching to water. Beer and beer ingredient shopping immediately after work.

Drinking a hb Hefeweizen while 10 gallons of Fizzy Yellow is boiling in the keggle.

Sounds like a good idea :mug:

Pliny before I get back to work. Only one more week of crazy 12-16 hour days of working. Doubt anyone has been quoting me recently, but if they have, I'm sorry I probably haven't seen it. Pretty much have had little time for anything else, but finishing my game. Still have an IPA I need to bottle, it's probably a week overdue by now. Oh well. Anyways, time to disappear again haha

After a Monday, in my mind, there's nothing better than a well made, hoppy beer. HB Pale Ale. Unfortunately that is not this beer. I'm now calling it amateur hour. I tried to raise the temp too soon during fermentation to increase the attenuation but instead I made peach ester bomb.

View attachment 318205WOW!!! Popped the cap and smells like when you open up a fresh bag of hops. My sniffer anit working right so can't tell which ones. Drinks like a session. Perfect beer to start with after nearly a week of no beer, feeling like chit and keeping the house from falling apart. Also noticed these aren't bottled with green flash on itView attachment 318208anyone on the west coast know the story?

I had one of those a couple days ago. It had a Green Flash bottle

It could be all BS, but my bottle shop guy said that alpine would still brew and bottle certain brews. Those they Brewed at alpine would get a alpine bottle stamp and whatever was Brewed at green flash would get a green flash stamp. After seeing all the pure hoppiness out there I doubt it.

The plot thickens. If I hadn't seen that alpine could easily fit on my house lot when we visited last yr( blue collar worker 6500 sq ft) and there distro all the way here in Texas I'm with you I call BS. The biggest brewery here in Houston is six times the size and can't even supply the top three cities in the state.
They just need to stop pretending and admit it's just one big company.

Water. Got to pace myself.

Edit: thanks for the info
