Sold our old house today so I've been celebrating a little all afternoon. This is an 8+% beer which makes it the 2nd weakest thing I've had today (Stochasticity HiFi + LoFi is 9+% and Two Hearted Ale is 6.5%).

I have to say I'm impressed that autocorrect fixed all my typos.

My American Fail Ale staying true to form. Taste is way better than original, very good balance.. But first time batch priming since using kegs. Fail. Smallest amount of carb if any.

+ each sip is so disappointing just thinking how good it could've been. Oh well. Don't make same mistake twice.

Last time I talked to Craig (the dude who designed the original Gandhi Bot can), he told me he had already finalized the design and name for the new can/beer. He didn't tell me what it is going to be. But the recipe will be the same (Chico, pils, caramunich, simcoe and Columbus).

Gandhi Bot is a great beer. Just got so much hype, every hipster and their mom buys it and I can't find it anywhere nowadays. Actually, for the last year or so. Prior to that, I would buy whatever I wanted of Gandhi. 4, 5 and even 6 four-packs at a time and shop them to other HBT members. It's become a **** show the last year. Just hope it's more readily available for us homers.

Sampled some HB sours tonight. From lest to right: BA sour stout, sour quad, sour tripel, and lambic.

The BA sour stout is by far the best beer I've brewed to this point. Heavy whiskey on the nose but almost none in taste, all stone fruit sour. Cannot wait to bottle this.

Sour quad has a more subtle tartness balanced with the typical quad characteristics. Has some nice cherry notes in there too. Very happy

Sour tripel is fruity tart, not much tripel to it but i like it. Gonna get peaches and some sweet cherries here soon.

And the poor, poor lambic. Pretty sure its acetic. It was turbid mashed and i didnt hit temps right, then pitched with not so fresh yeast (NEVER DO THIS!). Tried to let it sit awhile and round out but its a dumper. Strong sting in the nose and its not lactic acid, ph is 3.58. Sharp bitterness/sour in the taste. Sad day.
