Bottom of the bottling bucket from bottling my Amarillo IPA. Got some hop sludge, still good, smells like a citrus salad.

Whisky sour, just trying to finish the bottle, of both, so the next might be either mighty strong or mighty sour.

@Hello IRA. Good beer, what did you dry hop with? View attachment 274048 .

I did an ounce of Amarillo, Cascade and Simcoe. I am glad that you liked it. That keg kicked as well.
I left it on the hops too long though. I dry hopped on 2/17 and I believe it wasn't put in the keg for a good 2 weeks. I brewed that last year and was way more impressed with it, so I have to assume that it was leaving the hops in there too long that did the trick. The alcohol content was right where it was supposed to be this time around; 6.3%, last time it was 8.8% but you couldn't tell.

I also intended to send it to NHC, but I felt the color was a bit off as well and it wasn't a strong beer. I remember it being much more red. I used a splash of black patent for the red color. I don't like black patent malt really, but a splash of it really just gives me color and the hops mask what I believe is burnt grain flavor of the malt.

Quaffi...have to chauffer my grandbaby-mamma a little today and cook some lunch for her. Back by 2pm to deal with the younger kids. *yawn*
