For those of you that use carbonation tablets, is it normal for the pils to still be there after 40 days?

I have used them a few times. When I did so, about every week I changed the bottle position. Lay them down, stand them up, etc. They worked fine for me.

In the water after HB IPA and Allagash Curieux.

False.
Unless you're talking about baseball.

Schlafly Tap Room is decent though. E&Y took us there after the audit was done.

As someone born and raised in st louis, i concur. Nice place to visit, but wouldn't want to spend more than a couple weeks there.

A few beers with dinner. And happy i remembered to bring a glad for the hotel room. :)

That's it? I need to know how that is the regular version is among my favorite RIS but I have not liked the spiced versions.

Yes, that's it. Didn't think anyone cared about any rambling nonsense about how the beer tastes or how it makes me feel.
I agree with you on the regular version. Definitely one of the best shelf/easy to get imperial stouts. This one is a little meh. The spices aren't overpowering in any way, I just don't think they compliment the beer well. Did you try the Belgo-Anise version from a few years back? That variation was actually pretty good. And I'm not a fan of licorice.

Had a Mokah (2015) a little bit ago on the way to pick up dinner for SWMBO and I.

I am now contemplating looking through the fridge for the next victim.

Rebel ipa at bww, butchered my first all grain brew this morning missed mash temp by almost 10 degrees ended up with 3 gal of 1.062 wort instead of 5 gal of 1.054. Pretty disappointed overall I used brew pal to calc my volumes but it was the first time using my keggle for boil so wasn't sure of boil off View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1429492929.319985.jpg

St. Louis has the most listless downtown of any US city I've been to. I do like the little mall/plaza near downtown and Busch.

I went to an expensive Italian place there and forgot the name of the ****ing place. I had ordered a rare Parmesan-crusted NY strip. Anyone wanna help?

Yes I have and I didn't care for it. I like their smoked porter a lot as well but all the variations with chipotle etc I didn't care for.

The regular smoked porter is good too. I've had the vanilla version and tasted zero vanilla. Haven't had any of the others, though.

If it was downtown, that would be Tony's. http://www.saucecafe.com/tonys/

Parents go there every year for their anniversary. Good food, great service.

If it was on the hill, there are a couple places it could be.

More IPA. Trying to get kids to sleep, so lights are low.

Sampling and bottling a Belgian Blonde I brewed for my dad. Using a bench capper my aunt just gave me. Apparently it was my Great Grandpa's. Still works like a charm.

I have one of those. A friend of mine gave it to me along with some carboys and other stuff. She and her husband used to make beer and wine back in the 60's/70's. I don't use it, but it's cool to have. I'll probably use it as decoration when I get a dedicated bar and brewing area.
