Hydro sample of my first hb gose, recipe taken from BYO magazine, but with sorachi ace instead of santiam, and 1/2oz dried lemon peel at 10 mins.
Tastes really promising, can't wait to get it chilled and carb'd

Were you able to get any 3 Sons? Heard nothing but good things coming out of there and saw they managed to sweep up at Huna Day too

I saw them, but didn't go over there. There was over 200 beers, I should have planned it out better.

2nd Shift Liquid Spiritual Delight. Big, smooth, and chocolaty imperial stout. The label says think Pam Grier circa 1974.

Had @ChefRex 's quad earlier at my buddy's after he finished up a brew session. Delicious, smooth with some alcohol heat, and the cherries totally brought it in together. My buddy appreciated it too.
Onto my last Chillwave now, back at home.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Spent the day amongst costumed nerds (some cute, female ones, too!) and celebs...now having Diet Coke...beer later.

Was @CliffMongoloid there?:D

Damn, that's a big reputation for a brewery that isn't even open yet. Dania Beach is close to Ft Lauderdale, where Funky Buddha is. Quite the haul for me, but I could hit them both.

Thought so myself but he hasn't led me wrong yet; he knew the brewer through NHC or something like that so he had a bit of inside scoop(and bias). If you ever make it out there when they open please let me know what you think, I'm curious to see how they do

kweffeh all day. then had a Tango Delta, a Surly/Doom Tree, then my latest IPA. not sure what's next. the beer I brewed yesterday has gone off like an animal. I made a lacto starter with (also) a hand full of pilsner malt. pitched last night at about 100F. at 6:30 this morning, it had about 3 1/2" of krausen and smelled funky as flocc. still funky as flocc and about 95F. gonnat pitch a starter of 3711 ( @TNGabe eatyour face off) tomorrow. gonna add Brett B and Sapota fruit in secondary. floccin'-a right, son.

Were you at Capone's by any chance? That really looks like a Capone's price sticker, plus I know they had consecration on tap...

Yup. There's a Lent joke here somewhere but I can't find it right now...

:D

Also picked up a Black Albert while I was there.

Did you see my response on the
