Didn't some of you east coasters have this 'problem' earlier this year?

I've had two of them so far and I picked-up the 4-pack on Memorial Day. Both tasted a little off; tart almost. The other two are still in the basement. I'll have to check the dates but I thought the off-flavor could have just been the flavor from the barrel. Weird whiskey flavor with some sour.

Mine is going into the oven in a few hours. Used my mom's homemade sofrito and I used a blend of mango and orange juices, lime juice and other spices to season mine. Made slits on the pork butt and stuffed with garlic cloves.
