Pffffffttttt. I woke up feeling (mostly) fine and wrangled the short tax credits that roam my house while SWMBO slept in.

Then I organized her pantry for her and prepared to clean the carpets in the basement.

Starting this year out right. Since she is probably going to be pretty pissed at the amount of beer inbound...

Still a little yeasty but good. This is my fifth or sixth shot at a similar recipe. Takes about a month in the keg to clean up and this hasn't had a week yet. Would likely be better with a couple months. I have brewed it with 05 and it was great beer just not a kolsh, or perhaps at two weeks it was what the kolsh yeast would be after months of lagering. Hard to say.

With the new year upon us, and me taking a little time to reflect on the important things in life, I just want to make sure I tell you guys, in case I don't say it often enough, that I ****ing hate you all...

Enough with the mushy stuff. Spartan's pass defense has looked horrible against every decent passing QB they've seen this year. Oh, and I'm still drinking Lagunitas.

Rinsed the lid on my kettle let it sit 5 minutes and it froze. It's cold but I'm a Buckeye and we are thick skinned SOBs so I brewed in this footwear.

My overly-hoppy Fullers ESB 'clone'. Not bad for my extract-brewing-return-to-the-hobby brew. The color is close, the hops are out of balance with the malt, but very drinkable...
