Contemplating on a home brew before I head to the bar. ****.

Made it to Nashville a few minutes ago and headed straight to Craft Brewed. Having a Tennessee Brew Works Natchez. Apparently it's a lavender and something else pale ale. Not too bad, but it's got an somewhat unpleasant aftertaste. Like the bad kind of bitterness.

I am jealous, that place is beer lover heaven.

Yeah, a crap load of taps. I wasn't a fan of the seating arrangements, though. There's just the one big tables inside that was taken by a large group so I was relegated to the outcast seating outside with no one to hang out with. I've since moved to ML Rose which is across the street from Craft Brewed. I like the atmosphere here. I'm having a Yazoo Sly Rye Porter. Nice brew but I don't get much Rye from it.

I did most of my drinking in back with the homebrew supplies. There were a lot of people there too though. I could see how the atmosphere would suffer if you were the one guy there aside from a big group at the one table.

I am too sick to enjoy a good beer but think I am gonna have an elder while it is fresh. Lol.

youve been sick for awhile now! Elder is on the top of my to try list now, still havent had one.

Gotta love this beer list. They just cross out the names of the beers they're out of and write in what they have but leave the description unchanged. Glad I know my beer or I would be in for some confusing orders, haha.

Now having a Flat 12 Half-cycle IPA. Harsh bitterness and not a whole lot of hop aroma or flavor. It was bottled at the end of July so if it was good going in it should still have plenty of hop character unless the bottles were severely mishandled. I'm assuming it wasn't that great going in the bottle. PG, want to confirm that? I see you're from IN.

You have more? I can up what I was planning to send if youd be willing to get one out to me.

Will do. With the exception of what I send to guys on this thread that want to try zombie dust.... All of my fff stuff gets shipped to California in Pliny trades. I am an addict.

I can confirm that. PG sent one in a BIF package. It was not a balanced IPA - mostly bitter, little aroma. maybe it was a petite IPA?!!? :)

Haha, I do believe 'petite' is the appropriate word. I'm finding that it's better to take a sip and chase it with food than the other way around.

It has been really disappointing lately and used to be great. I am going to the worts happening event at flat 12 at the end of the month. I might just ask the brewers if they changed it. Btw Indiana people... On the 26th at flat 12.... Free wort if you bring your own equipment and brew on site! Briefs is supplying the grain and flat 12 is mashing it for you. Must pre register.

Second pour of Pliny.
