Coffee. Damned Bell's Palsy is an A-kicker. My Bavarian watermelon hefe will be past it's prime by the time I can drink some more...

I had that in 2004. It really scared the heck out of me when it happened. I guess I can get it again and I never recovered 100%, one muscle just never woke back up so when I am extremely tired one eye definitely droops. Most people say it is not bad but to me it is terrible, of course. I think it was about 2 weeks until I saw a slight hint of movement. I nearly wrecked my truck because I caught it in my rear view mirror on the way to work. I was extremely excited at work that day.

Hope for a speedy recovery. I didn't really drink back then so I don't recall whether I had alcohol. Is there a thing about alcohol and that or is it just the steroids that you're taking that you may not want to mix?

Weekend catchup...didn't drink much beer. Lagunitas Sucks, Sam Adams Mosaic IPA, Blue Point Toasted Lager, Sam Adams Octoberfest, and a pull of my HB Bier de Garde. I suppose that is what happens when I hang out with someone who doesn't really feel much enthusiasm about beer.

I had pretty good luck with making a starter from raw grain. Let it go for a week and pitched into wort.

Water for now. Need to run the wife's car to get the emissions inspection done. Check engine light for EVAP pump cleared, pump itself ok but had to rewire it. Then dead battery (car sits for a long time) had to get charged. Then an OBD drive cycle to reset it all. Hopefully drive cycle did the job. I need to suck it up and buy myself an OBD2 reader. Major PITA just for an emissions inspection. But if this new job pans out and my company car goes away this one will actually start getting the attention it needs.

So I want a floccing beer but not yet.
