DC's Brett Saison while wrapping up the boil on mine. You were right about the corkscrew, but it did open with a nice pop. Maybe undercarbed for the style but certainly not flat. Some funk in the aroma, nice fruitiness and a bit tart on the tongue, but also some residual sweetness? Good stuff.



Dregs (Brett C) will be going into primary with some WLP565 and planning to secondary with Saint Somewhere dregs (Brett B).

A brewery in St. Louis that most haven't heard of yet. This is absolutely amazing. One of the best beers I've had that originates from here. Happy Fathers Day to the fathers. I'll be right there with you next year!

I won a sack of pilsner malt from the same maltser. New provider for me.

Pale Ale malt is very similar to 2 row; treat it as interchangeable. Given that I haven't played with my malt yet, I don't know any specialness that maltster brings to the table.

Hit up Grand Rapids Brewing Co and Brewery Vivant on the way out of town. GRBC was pretty good, Vivant was spectacular, especially their barrel aged sour.

Now at the Bells airport location, having a Midwestern as a last Michigan beer.
