Is that the fruity coors that I have seen a few advetisements for? Wow. You fancy.

Sun burns suck. Also on face and arms

Try taking vitamin C and E and drinking a lot of water. I discovered when I lifeguarded many years ago that doing so helps you recover faster from burns. And I am a ginger, I burn rather easily. C + E at night with lots of water, repeat in the morning. True it will not get you immediately reverse the sun-flocking you received, but it seems to help.

I have not had a beer in a few days. I threw a bottle of Sofie in my beer fridge to open this evening. Coffee now.

Anybody use these? I have one i got with a bunch of other stuff and would like to use it for my sours. My only concern is that it will pick up a lot of yeast/trub. Does that matter at all?

I use one. I take a sample pour it in a glass , then take another sample and combine the two and take my reading. Then I usually take a taste test from the sample I pulled.

Drinking water.

I have one andbdont use it very often, just for the reason you mentioned. It picks up y in and that can stop it up and make it difficulut to drain. If you have something in secondary that's pretty clear, that's okay. I use it more often when making cider than beer.

Thanks for the replies. I will just have to be careful with it. So is my assumption right that too much yeast in the sample wont produce an accurate gravity reading?

Good word...Remmy's birthday. How many beers will lose their lives due to this development?

Is there an over/under on the number? Whatever it is, I take the over.

Just put the thief in the beer halfway and give it a couple of up and down shakes, it will fill up the rest of the way without disturbing the yeast.

Last little bit of my cascade pale ale leftover from bottling. Cloudy as heck from the bottom of the fermenter but it is citrusy and awesome! And strong :drunk:

I use mine all of the time. Just keep it off the bottom.

I'm calling 16 beers will lose their lives today. Size is not specified.

This. I don't know why people think you should ever jam that bad boy down to the bottom. Sometimes, depending upon volume in your carboy, you will have to pull beer twice to fill your test vessel, but it is easy enough to use and the only time I got trub was with my IPA where the beer is probably 35% trub.
I further cleaned up my confusing response, haha
Just the tip, eh?

Water. Got home at 2 am, drive to Charlotte yesterday…it was a lot of driving and due to my buddy getting wiggly about people lining up for a concert, I didn't get to NoDa. I will go back soon I hope.

Shipyard XXXX Ipa.
It's over 9% ABV, hoppy enough to have a decent bite but malty enough to conceal the high alcohol content. just had it on tap at a local British pub
(at least some of the pubs around Monterey are humble enough to carry big, bold American beers instead of just the usual British styles)

Ran a **** load of errands and visited my friends at my old company. Now it's time to hammer beers.

I have to drive to an early dinner, so I have to watch myself til I get back home.

Wish you all could party at my crib. Group flight discount?

Listening to Ready to Die on the porch while I smoke this. Damn. I love being alive.
