I'm not getting as much of the white wine notes as I was hoping for from the Nelson Sauvin, but they're definitely there. I think the next time I make this there will be some Nelson Sauvin thrown in with the late additions and Motueka thrown in with the dry hops. This one had all Motueka late hops and all Nelson Sauvin dry hops.
P.S. Yeah, I'm drinking a beer at 9 AM, big whoop, wanna fight about it?
I've been thinking about making a pale ale highlighting Nelson Sauvin hops.
Just cracked my first out of a 4 pack of the Topper that I got tonight.. $24.... Def. worth it. I will be harvesting the yeast for my next ipa (or 3). A belma / Citra / Amarillo / simcoe combo. Pretty excited about it.

That's the one you were tellin' me about? Looks (and sounds) awesome!! And no worries, it's Saturday, beer and cartoons go great together!!
Yep, that's the one. If I know your penchant for hops at all, you're going to dig it. Also, I forgot to mention to you personally that I really enjoyed your Moon Hill pumpkin ale. Quality brew.
Good, I'm looking forward to trying it! Glad ya liked Moon Hill. I can't take all the credit, Onipar (member here) created the original recipe last year, we both brewed it and traded. Then came up with a few tweaks for this years'. I was pretty happy with how this years' turned out, it's a lot like New Holland's Ichabod, simply by chance. I'd never had Ichabod until a few weeks ago.
Nice. I might be asking you for the recipe so I can brew it next year. I've got my brew scheduled filled up until the end of January so pumpkin will be way out of season by then. I've never had New Holland anything. Is that a local in your area?
Here's the link to this years' recipe. I should probably update the thread since I've been drinking more of it.
New Holland's from MI, but they make very good beer. I like their Hatter IPAs a lot, their Dragon's Milk RIS is really good too. Check 'em out, if you're interested in any I'll send them to you.

with all due respect to Nukebrewer and his pile of beer porn, I was at the Valley Forge Beer Festival and had (pardon my excessively drunken typing):

Serum xxIPA by DuClaw Brewing <= wholly **** this was good!
Shipwrecked IPS by Mission Brewing
Dark Seas RIS by Mission Brewing <= another great one
Imperial Red Ale by Lavery Brewing
Oak Aged Belfast Black by Lavery Brewing
Dunks Ferry Dunkelweizen -]
County Line IPA -] Biggest surprise of the festival. These guys have some incredible beer
Black Swan Black Saison by Twisted Pine
**** ... I'll have to repost the rest tomorrow when I can type. This beer fest was freakin' awesome though!
