Sierra Nevada has this great Torpedo IPA Pack out there, what a great idea!

Reality is, I have to keep my head together right now, so I’m diluting back their 6% ABV Phantom Torpedo IPA with my favorite blending mixer, Budweiser Zero. Maybe a bigger one this weekend.

This is still a great IPA, even cut back! Blenders are A-OK! Now we know why all those hop truckloads are heading to Chico!

If you're still in the area, Lake Superior Brewing has very good beer and food. Castle Danger Brewing up the road in Two Harbors is good, too, but no food on site.

I’ve had some great beers this weekend. Thursday night had a few draft Happy Hops from RR. last night I had a few cans of Japanese lager from Harland. Today we took my sister out to lunch at one of the local Stone tasting room/ restaurants and had some tasty beers.

This one is called Stone Super Non-Chunky. An imperial peanut butter cream ale aged on bourbon chips. Pretty tasty.
Finishing the evening with this gem I found while out today.

My hazy that went clear after lagering for months (brewed Feb 13, 3 oz of whirlpool and 4 oz dry hops in 5 gal.) At least it didn't turn brown - my O2 control must be OK.

Good looking AL brewed black lager/schwarzbier. Nice roasted malt aroma and flavor, just a touch of coffee and sweet, no bitterness, 5.4%. Very tasty.
