Hit a local brewery for a beer and dinner. Had an ordinary bitter. Not too shabby.

From yesterday's run of anniversary party's. Silvaticus 7th anniversary/Oktoberfest. I just dropped by, chatted with the Brewers down in the cellar to congrats them and took off. Crowded plus moderation.

A small mortgage of lagers, doppelsticke barrels and dubbels. There's a 2019 & 2020 Brett Oktoberfest in there. Mad props to das boot photobomber

Enjoying a couple Einbecker Brauherran Pilsners with a couple daughters this evening. Since 1378! Hard to put a point on how refreshing this is in the 110 degree heat this week!

Looking forward to more fine German lagers as we get further into Bier Season! Prost!

Raising a glass of the '71 Boddingtons clone to JAReeves who seems to be reading the entirety of the unabridged HBT tonight.

You're good people, JAReeves! Cheers!

It's been about 2 months between teaching summer school, student retreats, funerals, the start of school, and now managing the confirmation program at our church. Today was football and HBT, a day for me. I hope the next day I get off, I'm in the garage. Peace to you, fellow HBT'ers, I missed your posts.

*it was about 100 pages from my watched threads.

I forgot to stay on point: I drank beers from Firestone Walker and Modern Times; I'm missing my home-brew!

View attachment 857423I think it tasted just a little bit better on the island.

Give it ONE drop of your local grocery store's best Coconut Extract, and it makes for a big improvement.
If you want to get a little crazy, mix up 1 oz bourbon, 0.1 oz Coconut Extract, keep it in small, stoppered bottle, and add a drop or three to any nice, smooth porter/stout, and enjoy!

Boy, that's awfully clear for a beer. 😏

Duck Dude is happy it finally got cool enough for someone to swim with.

So edit, it rounds out nicely as it warms. Subtle sweetness. Bit harsher cold. King of Beers! 🤣

More editing, as it warms to room temperature it gets that, well what I call, the 500yr Old Brewery taste. It's musky to me. I get that from a number of European beers including Belgians. IDK, yeast thing I guess.
