Back at the farm. I have homebrew again!

I kegged this just before we went to the city, a little over two weeks ago. I called it “Corn .45”. I brewed it as a Blonde Ale, but it’s basically a malt liquor. A little over 50% flaked corn and corn syrup.

This is a short pour, in a Crown Royal glass , and I have to say it’s-drinkable. A bit sweet and 7.5% ABV. I have some light beer drinking friends who will like this stuff.

Doesnt one of you around here have a lavender saison they brew?

I think I've seen someone do that here before. I think what I would do, what I have done with non-alcoholic beverages, is use a lavender simple syrup as the primer (for bottles) or use in the keg. Just a thought...

Finally got out for supplies, including groceries and a trip to the liquor store. Monday mid-afternoon was a good choice to run errands!

This is a Gose-style beer called Gose Face Quila , by Parallel 49 Brewing. Brewed with tequila, ginger and lime to 7.0% ABV. It was a leftover seasonal in the singles section.

It's...uhm...a little weird on the nose, but the taste is extra clean and the tequila/lime really comes out. Not sure if I'd buy it again, but it's doing the trick!

One more of the Parallel series that I grabbed. It's a German Leichtbier called Hobby Horse, and I would leave this one. A plain, foamy 3.5% ABV that was like yellow water. Sigh.

Oh well, the second picture is getting back in the game. A Nordic saison from Iceland called Leifur, named for Leif Eiriksson. 6.8% with lots of citrus. Very nice, and if I can find it, it's a regular in my fridge. Resistance is futile!

PS- Don't mind the wooden spoon and pot, I was stirring my apple juice boil...I'm delving into the world of hard cider!
