Did you barrel it or age it on bourbon soaked oat chips? Been really thinking of aging my stout somehow for the spirit barrel component

That was bourbon soaked oak cubes. Got real tannic, think I’d boil the cubes and then soak them next time

I had one by Kent Falls in CT. Super good. I believe it was Centennial and Citra.

Killer spot man, you are lucky to have them in your back yard! I will buy anything of theirs I see

Had to do another "sample" of the latest batch of RIS. Only bottled 3 weeks ago, already pretty tasty. While digging around in the batcave today (looking for WhirlFloc), found a 12 oz bottle of this, must have been the bottom of the bucket!

Ok. Quick googling of fenugreek addition says may cause medical issues. I chaulk this up to the hype of buffalo grass. Interesting aroma and taste. Wiki says fenu adds maple syrup flavor. I agree. Most maple I've ever tasted.

“Fenugreek is LIKELY SAFE for people when taken by mouth in amounts normally found in foods. It is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth in amounts used for medicinal purposes (amounts larger than normally found in food) for up to 6 months. Side effects include diarrhea, stomach upset, bloating, gas, dizziness, headache, and a "maple syrup" odor in urine. Fenugreek can cause nasal congestion, coughing, wheezing, facial swelling, and severe allergic reactions in hypersensitive people. Fenugreek might lower blood sugar.”

One’s urine may smell like maple, and I guess that’s a better outcome than asparagus.
