Okay, having a NEIPA. Like I said before, thank goodness for local breweries, Railyard is a great one.
Some rain this morning, it let up around 10, so went for a hike. Then a lunch of tacos.
After that, went into town to the local brewery. Had a nice Marzen. The tap for that beer was wonky, so the bartender handed me a can they just packaged that day.

Passion fruit, orange, guava IPA brewed in Athens, GA. Tropical fruit but not too much, moderate bitterness than is long on the finish, 6.5%. Another IPA that I find pretty drinkable.
HM Chinese rice wine.
It’s Taco Tuesday. What better opportunity to soak up some fine Mexican Lager than Taco Tuesday! Pacifico is one of the best too!
One thing I learned by drinking nearly every Mexican brew in sight was the high uniformity found between Mexican beer brands. Almost universally, they feature a lowish ABV (Pacifico at 4.4% ABV,) just absolute crystal clarity and relatively similar flavor between many of them. Pacifico was one of my favs – along with Modelo of course!
One thing I learned by drinking nearly every Mexican brew in sight was the high uniformity found between Mexican beer brands. Almost universally, they feature a lowish ABV (Pacifico at 4.4% ABV,) just absolute crystal clarity and relatively similar flavor between many of them. Pacifico was one of my favs – along with Modelo of course!
Moon likes like perfect viewing tonight as the clouds cleared. 'ol man doesn't have the energy to get the tele out though. Guess I'll drown my sorrows in this TIPA goodness..

Not this time, its the recipe on AHA, My first time brewing it, brewed exactly as written.
I feel it could be be a touch more bitter to better balance the malt character, so next time ill add a 60min addition to for 15 IBU's.
I've brewed the one you referenced before though and from memory it was a good beer too.
Sticking with the light beer theme tonight...

What a great couple of beers. Haven't had these in a few years. Pre-pandemic these used to be a little over a $1 a bottle in NY. That Baltic Porter is like 8%. The pils is closer to Czech then a German.
Out back with a refreshing Boddingtons.

Wives are great for pointing out all sorts of things about yourself that you weren’t aware of. In fact, after all these years, she’s good to point out new stuff all the time. One of her favorites is that fact that I never bend over!
“You never bend over to look!” OK, Ok, there have been a FEW instances when bending over might have benefitted me, like the time last week I was trying to find the pizza that got shoved in the refrigerator somewhere behind the milk. Generally speaking however, as a middle-aged dude, there RARELY is much benefit from bending over, for a variety of reasons, refrigerator or otherwise!
Not bending over can have some positive and negative consequences when we are talking the expansive and temperature-controlled Beermeister32 Bierhoard. Not bending over there means I truly can miss out on some spectacular brews. Actually BENDING OVER can also benefit me greatly – such as today when I discovered that there was ONE Sierra Nevada IPA left over from my combination box from last week!
So the jury is still out on bending over. Treacherous spinal dangers aside - and not factoring in the actual shame, humiliation and true indignity of being seen in the derriere-prone positon, you can find some pretty great beers if you look!
