Well I finally built up the gumption to step on the scale this morning. This years’ Thanksgiving festivities have taken a toll on old Beermeister32. I’ve put on 5 lbs this week.

Soooo… I guess all the beer fun is going to be somewhat curtailed, as well as my human food consumption routine. Time to drop this 5, maybe lean into a few more before I’m hit again with Christmas festivities. Joy.

Fond memories of messing about with the Estes stuff on my local common when I was like 14.

Think I only had one rocket that took E motors though, an AGM-84 Harpoon miniature IIRC.

I’m almost 50 and kind of a nerd… I’ve got models that fly on the mini motors up to some mid-power dudes that fly on F & G sized reloadables that cost $20+ every time you push the button. Those don’t get flown very often. My biggest hurdle here where I live is that it’s a rare day when the wind is calm and I can actually launch a few and expect to get them back.

Oh wow thats gana fly high bigest motor i put in was a c16. When i was a kid we coudnt use any of the E or D motor because we we in one of the major routs for plans coming into land for portland.

Congratulations and Best wishes! I lost 53lbs on Healthy Keto (Dr. Berg version) 3yrs ago. I still mostly eat low carb but the drinking (aka FUN)...not so much.

My latest brew. A Kölsch. It may be pure blasphemy, but it’s only about a week and a half from the brew day. I let it ride a few days after fermentation was done and then kegged it, chilled for a couple days, burst carbonated and fined with gelatin.
Delicious!

Thanks! Not going to lie, I do not enjoy it, but it has been effective along a little cardio in dropping 30+ prior to turkey day. Plan now is 3 weeks back on before xmass and then back at it again in the new year. Just in time to test the carb level on the x-mass ale going into bottles tonight.
