Sitting in the shade with a HB Amber Ale after washing my really muddy pickup. I went to the farm for a few days and it was raining when I got there and raining when I left yesterday. Our place is 3 miles from the end of the paved road. I think I washed about 300 lbs of dried mud out of the wheel wells. I might be under estimating...

9 Donkeys of the Hopocalypse, by Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. from Victoria, BC. Hard to believe this brewery has been around for 23 years!?

It's aromatic and smooth for a 9% beer, but there's something that doesn't jive with my palate. Hmmm. Oh well, after a couple more everything will be fine!

I kegged a couple today. The first was a by-the-numbers boho pils, the second was a cream ale. I let both overflow the keg while watching the Giants’ game.

Space Wolf Galaxy IPA by local New Level Brewing. I spoke with a gentleman loading in crates and crates of New Level beers at the beer store...turns out he was one of the NLB founders! Cool that he's still slinging' cases to the local stores.

This is a really great beer...gotta love me a 7.6% Galaxy IPA! Trying to finish all my hi-test beers before the heat wave this coming week. Yeah, that's what I'm telling myself...lol! Cheers!

Fruited dipa. If you like guava juice this is probably for you. I'm like conflicted. Ive discovered I don't really like the chunky fruity smoothie sours. This is like good guava juice mixed with a good dipa. Smells like fresh guava. My nose and tongue are all confused. It's not bad. It's different

Whiskey barrel aged house mead from Ravenwood Meadery in Huntsville, AL. Tried several of their meads which were really good while I was there but couldn't taste this one for some reason, which they released the day I was there. Their house mead is tasty; this one not so much. Whiskey just clashes with the mead on my palate.
