Searing the meat with more spice and adding back in, should be good, I think. The Adobo seasoning is actually a Latino thing and the doesn't have anything to do with the Filipino dish--oddly enough--but it's good s**t, too.

You'll hate it when I send @hello my mom's sofrito, marthafloccer.

Water with lunch. It's going to be hard to not crush beer later... Got a raise and an interview for a new company next week. They start everyone out as a consultant, then go to FTE so I'm not too sure about that.

I also heard their may be a football game on later?

Congrats buddy.

Half hour... going straight home, changing clothes, and walking to the bar next door to see what's on tap.

Citra IPA,

So. When you have a stainless steel pan and you turn the heat up to high on the stove and let it sit for a a good number of minutes THEN add olive oil to sear meat...the oil will, without a doubt catch fire. Nothing makes a person double check that their homeowner's insurance is paid when there is a small grease fire. Oh and my smoke alarm does work. I have a fire extinguisher but it's 6 years out of date. I didn't know if that would cause more issues so I used baking soda...a lot of baking soda. I think I peed myself and I believe my stainless pan is ruined.

**** the stew, it's time for beer.

Glad you survived! As BGBC said, not likely the pan is ruined - just need some scrubbing (or boil some tomato juice in there if it is really scorched)

So the snow plow definitely pushed three feet of snow into my driveway after removing the side view mirrors off all the cars parked on the street.

Time for a sneak attack saison before I suit up and gets to shoveling.

@JohnnyHitch1 's sparkling grape apfelwine. Good stuff, can taste the grape, very smooth and goes down easy.

@bgbc this doesn't show it super well, but it's a shot. I used bar keepers friend but gave up. It's All-clad.

I'm fine. I was more scared than anything. I am shocked the ****ing curtains didn't go up after I threw the pan quickly into the sink. It melted the plastic cups I had in there but didn't break the pint glasses.

Glad you and the house are OK, this all could have been avoided with mushrooms:D

Looks like you need fresh limes.
An IPA

It's kind of like drinking a brownie.
Is that a turd bottle opener?

Haha I just may employ mushrooms next time. I'd like my house to stay standing.
