I am. She wants me to install Lync on my machine. Here's the situation, she claims it is so she can share my screen. i've been working remotely for a number of years and have done quite fine without sharing screens with anyone. I think it's a BS excuse to watch how much time I idle on my PC. Either way, does anyone really think that I somehow managed to keep my job and produce the numbers and work I produce by literally not sitting at my desk all day?

I hope that is true. It is not that I dick around all day, but I don't like to be watched. I get my work done, I do more than I am supposed to do, and I don't complain. Well, I complain that my computer is using 90% of its RAM most of the time running outlook and excel only. They refuse to give me 4 GB, I am running 2 GB on win 7.

No, but I got a lot of calls from people wanting to know why they are getting calls asking about me. My job feels like the last week of high school right now.... Don't have a clue what I am gonna do with my life... But am pumped about my time here coming to an end. Had a nice long talk with one of my best friends in the company last night. I stayed in the field and he went the home office route. As he put it to me: "we need you, but this shyt is beneath you. Just move on and hire me in a year." Best plan to date.
