Cheers, buddy - safe trip back home. Every time I sit at that bar, I get ****ed up. Here's to hoping you do, too. :D

Yeah, I got pretty toasted on an empty stomach. Mostly soared up on the first leg and ready for round two on the last leg to Houston. Wish the floccin stewardess would get her ass in gear and get some drinks headed my way.

some Gunpowder Green Tea. I would go back and read the posts I missed but I'm lazy and me and the oldest are kicking zombie butt on Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. I still feel like something that came out of a Taco Bell fanatics' butt hole. no beer tonight either.

Drawback to working in IT: Sometimes you have to work hours when no one else is.
Plus to working in IT: You can sometimes do it from home:

Yep. I will be at work bright and early tomorrow morning. Out early enough to beat traffic I hope then off to my parents for the evening. Back home and into work by 3pm. I miss one family christmas celebration out of three but that is the tradeoff of not having to miss thanksgiving.

Sometimes IT does suck. But sometimes it isnt horrible either. I could still be working at a target during the holiday season.

Finally! A jack and coke. Shaky pic cause of the turbulence.

Sounds about normal for me. :D Cheers, buddy. Saving some good beer for you!

Not when you're the boss. :p

********* I want to post pictures of MY holiday cheer, because that's the thing to do apparently. But I can't find the damned pole.

First find pole. Then find beer.

Oh, And a Bengali while i empty every last thing out of my kitchen, cabinets and all in preparation for this weekends renovation.

I'll be doing that in a few weeks. Not looking forward to doing the work, but I'll be happy with how it will be when it's done.

I actually am looking forward to the work. And the final results. The expenditure though, I am not. Especially because I also am planning on pricing out converting my ancient all electric heat pump to gas which is not yet plumbed to the house.

Not when you're the boss. :p
That usually only applies to internal IT. Some of our customers are sensitive enough where they want the boss (at least where my department is concerned) working on it. Doesn't happen often, but it happens. Fun fact: said company has a beer judge doing a major V2V migration this holiday, and an application developer who got into his field through hotel and restaurant management as a sommelier. lol

If you're looking for an IT opportunity in downtown NOLA, let me know. I can certainly write a referral for you.
