Oh - and I decided to brew today!

No fire today. It was close to 70F here. I found this beer inside of the fireplace. Think an elf or something, maybe Santa, hid it there for me as a reward for splitting wood for 5 floccing hours.

I feel like that is more of a cautionary tale...like those yellow road signs suggesting you take an offramp at 35 MPH.
But really, I was always told at least 8-12 hours.

Work is boring me and it is too nice out. So I decided to brew up a coffee stout with the second runnings I had in the freezer. Oh, and giving my fancy new glass a test drive while I'm at it (and sending a quick counter-curse BUCKNUTS way! )

It might be to late, so today while on a beer run I see a homeless guy ah I mean a bum holding a sign panhandle for money while texting!!!
As I'm shaking my head in disbelief I see another bum on the other side of the intersection texting and a car reaching out to give him change!!!!
I was blown away I wished I could have got a picture

Ugh, I get to get up at three in the morning to go kick off a project in bfe tomorrow. I will be driving half way to bucknuts and want to just say screw work and go finish off his rye porter.

Not drinking anything yet...just returned from a surprize trip to visit Mom...surprize!!! She wasn't there. Mom and my sister were out for a hair appointment and various other things that were going to take all afternoon. Dropped some brews, and homemade jelly and sauerkraut, and headed home. But hey, on the way up, I stopped at a big convenient store and found a Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro and Black Sack Porter for $1.79 each! Never had (or seen, in person) a Left Hand brew before, but have seen plenty on this thread...looking forward to trying them! Oh, and I drank something.
