Unless my scale is wrong, I usually get about 1.1-1.2 oz out of a hop union bag not including the packaging. So I don't know what you're talking about. I'm sorry they shorted your bag.

Drinking my 3724 Saison.

I guess I don't know what I'm talking about, I just weighed the 4 centennial bags and they were all spot on .6. I just thought I would see what they weighed since I had the Amarillo on the scale. My bad on that.

Should be 1.2 with the bag I think. Owner of my lhbs will let me weigh before buying. He says the short bags come from end of run and he sends them back for credit or just uses them for his brews

Thanks for that. Now I will have to weigh our hop orders from now on so I can get some credit back from LD Carlson.

Uh oh! It might be time to do some hop freezer porn!

I haven't made this years order yet. Other expenses (like buying gauze) keep getting in the way, but I might actually order this week. I doubt I've got 2 lbs left. On the other hand my fozen fruit stash is pretty sexy.

I wish I had that kind of freezer space.

I'm lucky my wife lets me get away with buying a couple pounds at once.

I slacked hard on getting fruit picked/canned/frozen this year. Pretty bummed to because it was a very good year up here. I did manage to get some in the fermenters though!

Flat earth brewing Winter Warlock English Barley-wine that I got in swap-o-rama #4

It's a little hot, but it is 10.1%. Probably should have let it sit for a year.

Lawn Ranger American Light, finishing off a recipe to pick up from lhbs tomorrow. Then after that its off to New Holland for the release of Incorrigable Barrel Aged Sour. :ban:

We put up quite a bit of food. We bought a very large chest freezer with our wedding money. If you don't have a deep freezer, you're actually better off keeping hops in the fridge.

Can't win them all. This years fruit stash is pretty small compared to last years. Just blueberries, scuppernongs, and some white peaches. I'm hoping to do a better job of having beers ready when fruit is ripe so I don't have to freeze as much.

Another cream ale before bed.

I hadn't heard that. I'd heard that deep freeze is best, but colder is better. A few random forum mentions saying otherwise (defrost cycles and what not), but Mr. Wizard from BYO saying home freezer.

I'm sure it's like many other things under debate.

4 years ago we were able to put 100 pounds of cleaned, peeled, peaches in the freezer from 2 small trees. Since then the bees and the blossoms haven't coordinated and we've had no peaches, almonds or nectarines. The bees do show up in time to pollinate the apples so it's not a total disaster yet.
Tonight I'm drinking my amber dryhopped with Cascade. I also kegged the last 5 gallons of that batch and dryhopped it with 1.25 ozs of Columbus.

About to open a growler of New Holland Mad Hatter to go with some chicken curry and Kebsa rice for dinner. I looooove when the house reeks of aromatic spices!

That looks delicious. And it would definitely allow me to have some quality time with my porcelain throne afterwards. Win win!

Drinking tea after studying boring crap for the last 90 minutes. Finishing up using my brain with some of this. White to move and to win. Anyone know the winning move here? Pretty simple one.

QWERTY keyboard schedule? Or a quirky work schedule? Haha all jokes aside I think I will be having some curry and rice for lunch or dinner tomorrow. I am salivating right now. Nicely done. Enjoy your meal with the missus.

Cheers.
