I think I managed to squeeze some head out of the 2nd pour. Didn't last though.

I love this beer. I think it's as good as anything I've had on draft from TH. I think Mr Alien is the only other TH berliner I've had, though I'm not 100% that I haven't had a 3rd. At any rate, I think this is a much better beer. More rounded acidity and the fruit really brings it all together. Need to get my lacto built up to brew 10 gallons soon. Running out of fermenters again.

Speaking of which, I'm trying to talk myself out of buying a bourbon barrel in Lexington next week. I'll probably stop by and see what distillers they have and use that as an excuse not to buy one.

How are the beers from Austin Beer Garden?

Turns out my parents' neighbor is friends with the owner, and my dad set it up for us to go check out the brewery next weekend after F1 Qualifying. Pretty excited, I've toured tons of breweries, but other than the small one I worked at in Germany for a summer, I've never had a personal tour along with the ability to talk to the brewers (and apparently they have 2 master brewers from Germany).

From what I had I enjoyed there beers. Cool place too

I don't have a fermentation chamber, so it was in he ambient basement temp of 68 or so. Sorry, but can't get more precise then that.

I was going to pound down some celebratory drinks. I thought for a second that I was getting a hefty check. Posted a while back that DoL was investigating my company for not paying us overtime. Got a letter from DoL saying they finished their investigation and concluded my company illegally classified us as exempt and that they owed me just shy of $4,000 in back overtime (in addition to what they owe the several hundred other folks). Was thrilled. Then read the rest the of the letter, where my company refuses to pay, and DoL isn't going to litigate it. So I have to take em to court myself if I want a cent. I guess it's time for a class action lawsuit. Or to call my old union from when I lived in Jersey. In either case, I'll probably get fired before it gets better. So in the mean time I'm gonna pound down the pissed off drinks until I figure out what to do...

That sucks man. Nothing like being told you are right that you were screwed over but were not going to do anything about it. I'd be freakin' pissed too!

Actually, that tells me a lot. I've been leaning towards S04, and I've been trying to decide if I should go on the low or high end of the spectrum. Knowing that you went on the high end makes me think I should do the same. Thanks!
