I’m still closing out the Short’s Brews from Michigan this week. Yesterday I had a top-notch IPA from Short's, Huma Lupa Licious IPA. I know, sounds like a Willy Wonka character. Great beer though... Today we’re going over to the Hazy side with their seasonal brew, Pure Michigan Hazy.
Well, Beermeister32 is an IPA fan for sure. I definitely enjoy the Westies, I’m trying like heck to love at least some of the NEIPAs and now this. A Midwest Hazy. What’ll they think of next!
Today’s muddy is a bit on the thin side I’d say. Pours cloudy, and then a big blob of hazing murk at the end of the dump! Tastes OK six gulps in, but honestly I wasn’t too jazzed the first gulp of this. Nowhere on the can shows ABV but looking on the website (which shows dozens and dozens of brews) I find 4.3% ABV and an IBU of 37.9...
Well, it doesn’t seem that hoppy, and the ABV is a bit on the low side - seems a bit watery to the Beermeister32 palate. I’d say stick with that Willy Wonka one… Go Blue…….!
