Had a huge busy day! Brewed a batch of NEIPA this morning. The kids helped and we ground and packaged about 50 pounds of last year’s deer meat, 15 pounds of beef burger and ground, seasoned and stuffed 20 pounds of deer summer sausage. Will smoke and cook the sausage tomorrow.
My daughter wanted a European skull mount of the deer she got this year so I did it for her. Started it last weekend and took it out of the peroxide wrap this afternoon. I think it turned out awesome. Got all the cleanup done and now my back is screaming at me. Had several Lites earlier and now some Irish before bed.

I taught myself to make old fashioneds, and made it a double. 4 oz of Whiskey, 4 splashes of bitters, half an ounce of homemade simple syrup, a cherry and a splash of juice from the jar. I used wild turkey 101 rye. There's a cherry in there somewhere sunk to the bottom lol

Saw this beer for the first time on this thread a little while back. Found it at the ABV store in FL so picked it up. Glad I did. I'm not that familiar with the style (English pale ale) but this is tasty! Some malt, caramel, a little sweetness. Just a little carbonation... nitro, which was a surprise when I opened because I didn't see it on the can! Would definitely buy it again.

Trying the third in this limited series called 'Ivy', by local Zero Issue Brewing. I'm not a fan of Vanilla in most about anything, but this seems to work with the coffee/smoky overtones of the Stout. Maybe itshh the 11.5% talking (hic), baby, but I kinda like it. 😂

Also fired back a quick sediment-filled Sorceress directly after a long afternoon of Spey casting in cold Bow River water. It was much needed! Woo!
