If my memory is correct @camonick shared this from @ThirstyPawsHB and I used it as a template to make it myself. It was a hit with a lot of friends on a camping trip. The friends at HB club said it was far better than a Mikes Hard Lemonade. So I would say it’s a win & a solid recipe.

Got this from the SoCo Homebrew dudes. There is a hint of souring but doesn't take away from the strong chocolate character and mouth feel. And whatever that thing was, didn't drink much.

Wife's brother/SiL (etc) moved to Michigan earlier this year, and we went out there last week to visit them for the first time. They're just outside of East Lansing, bought a cool old house, and are settling in. Nice, relaxing time...drank a lot of mead

Octoberfest, Brown Ale (?), and Peanut Butter Stout

Other sister-in-law brought brother-in-law a bottle back from Scotland. We had a few pulls from it over the course of the week.

We had the clover (not pictured) and the buckwheat. The clover was clearer and smoother - a clean mead, if you will. This was not.

Buckwheat mead - more depth than clover mead

We drank two of these

Mead goes with everything. We had Japanese on the last night.

Lots of mead drinking - blackberry honey mead

My suegra made some sopes - they're all disappointed in the lack of Mexican grocery stores (rather, the quality of ingredients from the existing stores). Tasted fine to me

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your wonderful time. Family, alcohol and good food...nice blessing. Won't hold it against them with that East Lansing Spartan thing.... Always loved your unique posts.
