What are keg poppets? First time keg

What are keg poppets and do I need one to connect the gas lines and liquid lines to my keg? I'm going to piece together my first keg nitro set shortly. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Poppers are the spring-loaded seals in the posts. Your keg will come with them, though it's not a bad idea to have a couple spares along with o-rings.

What do I need to order to connect gas and liquid lines to the ball locl keg? I can't seem to find the name.

QDs. Quick disconnects. Make sure they match your keg style. Ball or pin and remember with Ball, Black, is Beer and pins 3>2 and beer>gas.
