I am planning on making the jump to kegging here shortly; I have been a loyal NB customer thus far and would like to remain so however their "basic" kegging system is around $130 but does not include the co2 tank; I came across this at the kegconnection for $134 http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=426 What is missing in this kit? Here is the NB kithttp://http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/kegging/draft-systems/five-gallon-keg-system-used-keg.html

The NB kit does not have a co2 tank. Is the keg connection legit? Also, if I plan no more than two kegs at a time; how long would a 2.5# co2 tank last?

Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe they dont want to include the CO2 tank so you can customize that portion and like mentioned above, get a bigger tank if room allows

First, the Kc kit has a 5 lb bottle. Second, KC just has a better price on their kits. Maybe because they are more specialized. #5 of CO2 is good for 4-8 batches.

The local place I have for C02 just did a swap of the tank. So I paid for a new shiny co2 tank but first fill needed to swap it out for a used tank... Swap was $11... they said if they certified the tank and filled it would be close to $50. and I'd need to come back for the tank. If you can find a used CO2 tank, you'll be better off.
