Well, I got a few 1/2 gallon glass jugs on hand but no caps, so I need to buy some (38mm screw caps) to carbonate my home brew. I see they sell three types, metal, plastic, and polyseal.

Any opinions on these?

I've been told the plain metal and plastic ones aren't made to hold carbonation. Polyseal sounds like a winner.

Cool, I have some on there way now. I will post back in two weeks when I crack one open.

Are you going to naturally carbonate in jugs? Can they withstand the pressure you will create?

I was going to add corn sugar, but maybe I will be keeping the amount recommended on the low side....this is new to me so not sure if it will work out.

Well I tested a few batches out now and those poly seal caps worked and boy they were tough to untwist the first time around! I did keep the carbonation low but so far so good.
