just made an oktoberfest lager and the original gravity is 1.126...how can this be???

What do you have 10 lbs malt in 1 gal of water?
What do you have 10 lbs malt in 1 gal of water?
You put a lot of extract in it... Or misread your hydrometer...

9.3 pounds of Amber malt extract, 1 pound of specialty grains, 3 ounces of hops
I filled my test jar as i was siphoning the wort from the kettle into the primary...so obviously w/out the other 3.5 gallons of water to dilute it it was very high....stupid error. thanks for the help. I took it again and the OG was good
