The point of a conical is to remove the sediment without removing your beer. I have a full drain type and it had threads in the bottom of the cone. Just screw in a reducer and then a ball valve of your choice. I hosed clamped the neck after installing the reducer. After fermentation, dump the trub and keep the beer.

Or perhabs you were talking a rotating racking arm? I thought of this but decided it to be as frivolous as useless for my application.

I'm using a 1/2" weldless fitting for a rotating racking arm. I'll use a curved copper tube connected to the inside. Using 1 1/4" ball valve on the bottom to dump trub. I had a stainless B3 conical years ago, I think the racking arm is well worth it.
