Weldless Fitting for Boil Kettle

I'm planning to drill my SS pot and add a weldless fitting to run through a counterflow chiller. I'll be using 3/8" copper tubing for my counterflow chiller, so should I also use a 3/8" barb on the outlet of my weldless fitting? I'm looking around and it seems most come with 1/2".

I went with the 1/2in then bought a barbed reducer to go from 1/2in tubing to 3/8 tubing for the counterflow chiller.

Any recommendations on what to put on the inside of the kettle to the bulkhead to ensure most of the wort gets pulled from the kettle? Maybe this? http://www.bargainfittings.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=120

I used the hop stopper from theelectricbrewery.com. It is basically a dip tube with a screen around it. This allows the wort to be pumped out and leaving any hop bits and protein residue left behind.

Or you can use a hop spider to contain the hop material then just pump out the wort and protein residue into the fermenter.

There are lots of different ways to get the wort out, you'll just need to try and figure out what will work best for your setup.
