Due to some turmoil and other random unfortunate events in my life I had stopped brewing for almost one full year. I had my first week off work last week in 2.5 years and decided on a staycation that was dedicated to getting my brew basement back up and running. I am fortunate to have about 300 square feet of my basement set aside strictly for home brewing.
I built a fermentation chamber (still need to seal the block) that holds up to 5 carboys with leftover materials and and a salvaged window AC unit. Last night I completed my 4th batch and I couldn't be happier with how I spent my time off from work.
I brewed my first batch in October 2013 and will be a brewer for life. I hope to soak up more knowledge here as I progress into this next season.
I am a little late for the 2016 Music City Brew Off but I will be attending for sure. Would love if anyone has info on any homebrew competitions within a 4 hour drive from Nashville, TN.
