Weather, and how I deal with it.

Well, I feel bad for all of those stuck in the snow and deep freeze.

Yesterday, it was a bit chilly so when we went to the beach I didn't even swim. But my dog went up to his shoulders.





Today, it was warm and sunny, so with some sun protection we did some kayaking. It was fun, but no keepers, just small ones like this:

And to think, last night my car door was frozen shut under a sheet of ice!! I forget not everyone deals with the weather I get to!!

Where'd ya go?

Oh, we went to Padre Island National Seashore for a couple of hours yesterday.

Today, we just went about 3 miles to a saltwater bay and creek that's attached to the bay we are on. No alligators today, but lots and lots of birds! I saw whooping cranes, roseate spoonbills, tons of egrets, herons, and sandpipers, as well as a few hawks and of course pelicans everywhere.

I see that much of the country is bombarded with snow, so we're very thankful to have no complaints at all right now!
