so i was wondering if im bottling too early after adding sugar or if im just adding too much sugar, but when i open a beer with a lighter, for instance, it sounds like a gunshot and puts eyes out. and then after i let it foam into the sink for a minute or two, all liquid coming out of the bottle immediately turns to foam in my mouth. ive been shaking them up 2-3 times & letting more foam come out just to be able to drink it. it is an irish stout with irish moss. help me i suck. oh, and whats up with the current beer/ on deck beer stuff at the bottom of all your posts? do i just type all that in or is there an option to fill out forms?

thanks

Without more details it's hard to give you good advice. Did you take gravity readings before you pitched the yeast, and then again before you bottled? If so, what were the readings? If not, how long did you let it sit in primary? Did you transfer it to a secondary fermenter and let it sit? If so, for how long? How much priming sugar did you add?

See what I mean on needing more details? Without that sort of info, you are basically saying "something is wrong with my beer, please help me."

As for Signatures at the bottom, sorry, can't help on that one.

Could be you bottled too soon - your brew wasn't done. Oh, the curse of not using a hydrometer to see if your brew is within range of the style.

Could be your bottles were conditioned in too high a temp. I've had that happen to me in the summer.

As for the brew log/list, that's in our signature...go to user CP and just edit your signature.:D
